soldo soldo soldo, you continue loving the cunts and calling some of them 'mates', and I'll continue to hate every single one of them

simon.... I been going over their place since early mid 80's... taken more and given more clumps at their place than probably anywhere else... been smashed over the head by a Copper on horseback... and even had my Uncle (who was in the met) pull me aside as OUR lot had been seen on video being involved ... but... it was just another day out... same as Arsenal.. same as Chelsea... same as Man United... they do not even come into the same bracket as that lot over the River... like I said it's a modern day obsession...

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
It's not all one way, or they wouldn't be trying to throw piss over us, and their fans wouldn't be singing 'we hate west ham'.

All London football is rivalry. Everyone wants to be top dog in London. We will never be Arsenal to them, or even Chelsea, but trust me they have a certain amount of dislike, even hatred for us.

I was stood right next to them at the LS this season, and they were celebrating like they'd won the league. People who go to games know these things.

I tell you what it is simon… it’s an obsession by our fans with them… we are like a load of Cockney stalkers .... hence this thread…

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
Simon simon simon…. We are about 3rd or 4th on their list… what type of rivalry do you think that is?? Do you think if they had the Goons in the LC instead of us they would not have bothered?? I’m afraid it’s all one way… in which case for me is not a true rivalry… here to help

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
They are not your rivals out there in deepest darkest Essex, we get that, NS.

But to fans who go, of course they are. We could have sold our Wembley allocation three or four times over last week.

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
They don’t bother me at all… not our proper rivals (as proven by their non attendance in the cup) .. so what happens to them don’t give a monkey’s…

celebrating last 16 of champions league, finsihsing top 4 and putting the pressure on while winning nothing

Congrats, they have become the Arsenal fans they took the piss out of for so long

There's nothing to be jealous of, they haven't won a major trophy for 25 years and that won't be changing anytime soon.

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
Make no mistake, I hate them with a passion as much as the next man but if you look at where they are player wise, manager wise, comp wise, ground wise and club wise compared to us it is very annoying. They are doing everything the right way and have a great outlook going forward where we are just in complete shambles in all departments. Nothing will change for us under the current owners, the club is completely clueless in all departments at the moment.

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
If you take away the fact they are Spurs and we hate the bastards there's actually a lot to admire and you have to hold your hands up and say fair play, great performance and result last night.

Plus we all get the joy of when their best personnel, including the manager all leave for bigger things and we get to delight in their inevitable collapse.

I hope they reach every final this season. And lose them all.

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
I know we're all desperate for them to be shit, but let's face it, they are a brilliantly run club with a great young English spine and play great football.

You know how envious some are when the best they can come up with is that Real Madrid are having a bad run, that's why Spurs won. Sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up.

And, get beaten by us. Happy days.

I actually like Spurs they play attractive football that we could only dream of playing, made up a lot of English players and they have a top top manager who not scared of playing youth unlike Billic

Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
Let's put this result into perspective, last night Spurs beat a team that lost to Girona over the weekend and has also lost to Betis in La Liga. Spurs are no great shakes.

Grumps - Nah, sticking by my view mate. Using an early league cup tie against Barnsley to suit your argument is pretty weak for me, no-one gives a fuck about the league cup and going to football is expensive now.Why does every game have to be a sell out without it causing outrage? I think our (home) support has turned proper muggy these days. As for 'I'd hate to be surrounded by the sort of support some teams have' Well I'm forever reading that a lot of our fans hate who they are surrounded by these days..

Grumpster 10:16 Thu Nov 2
Re: Spurs v Real Madrid
You support your team regardless of how you're doing and who you're playing.

To have a difference of 60k between your lowest and highest attendances is frankly ridiculous and shows what a poor core support they have.

I'd hate to be surrounded by the sort of support some teams have.

20,000 Liverpool fans at Wembley when they played them made up of 15k japs and tourists in the home sections.

Fuck that.
